At Snowflair, Inc. safeguarding your data and privacy is a core commitment.  Our Privacy Policy details how we handle the collection, usage, and sharing of your information while you engage with our service via the Snowflair mobile application, emphasizing the options available to you regarding your data.  

1. Information we may collect

We gather various types of information for multiple objectives to enhance and deliver our service effectively.  When you use the Snowflair mobile application, the following information may be automatically collected:

  • Technical information such as IP address, computer operating system, opt-in sharing of location information, system analytics and crash reports.

To ensure we present you with content and connections that are most relevant to you, we may gather personal information across the following categories:

  • Account Registration Information: not limited to full name, phone, email, city, state, zip code, GPS coordinates.

  • Profile Information: not limited to employment history, education, media.

  • Company Information: not limited to company name, job content and description. 

  • Customer Service Information: not limited to questions you submit to us through online forms, email, in-app contact us, phone.

2.  When do we collect information?

We collect information from you when you register on our mobile application, create a job seeker or company profile, apply to a job, publish a job posting, fill out a form or enter information on our website.  

When using our services, we may also contact third parties in order to enable your use of the services e.g. information provided by service providers such as Google, Apple, AWS, LocationIQ, MixPanel, and other services and APIs.  

3.  How do we use your information?

We may utilize the information collected from your registration, email interactions, and logins to the mobile application in the following ways:

  • Enhance and support our services, develop new features, and provide customer support.

  • Conduct internal operations for fraud prevention, software troubleshooting, data analysis, research, and usage trend monitoring.

  • Send relevant communications, including job alerts, promotions, and updates.

  • Personalize our services and content to better suit your needs.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of job postings.

  • Gather feedback on our services and products.

  • Ensure the security of our services and users, addressing fraud and security incidents.

  • Facilitate your access to job opportunities and communication with potential employers.

  • Enhance your connection and interaction within the Snowflair community.

4. How is information shared?

We may share your personal information with service providers to monitor and analyze the use of our service, and to assist us in supporting and maintaining our service. We may also disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

5.  How do we protect your information?

User information between your browser and our application is transferred in encrypted form using a secure socket layer (“SSL”) or equivalent cryptographic protocols using certificates issued by a trusted third-party authority.

However, no data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be secured from intrusion.  Nonetheless, we maintain commercially reasonable physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect your personal information in accordance with data protection legislative requirements.    

6.  Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Snowflair uses cookies and various tracking technologies to identify you from other users, enhancing your experience with our application.  It also enables us to refine our services and personalize your future interactions.

For applications, the only thing you can really do is to clear cache and/or storage which will certainly affect the efficiency as stated here. 

7.  Your Choices and Rights

You have certain rights with respect to your information as further described in this Section, in addition to any rights discussed elsewhere in this Privacy Policy.

You may edit your account information anytime inside the App.  If you would like to delete your account, you may do so in your Profile inside the App, or email us at support@snowflair.com .  Please note that in some cases we may retain certain information about you as required by law, or for legitimate business purposes to the extent permitted by law.  For instance, if we believe you have committed fraud or violated our Terms, we may seek to resolve the issue before deleting your information.  

8.  California Privacy Rights

Under California Civil Code Section 1798.83, residents of California can request from businesses a yearly report of personal information shared with third parties for direct marketing purposes, including the third parties' names and addresses. Snowflair does not currently disclose your personal information to third parties for their direct marketing.

As a California resident, you have specific rights regarding your personal information, including:

  • Receiving details about the types of personal information we collect and share, the sources of such information, our purposes for collecting it, and the third parties with whom we share it.

  • Requesting access to or a copy of your personal information in our possession.

  • Requesting the deletion of certain personal information we hold about you.

  • Information about any financial incentives we offer you, if applicable.

Snowflair is committed to non-discrimination in respect of any rights exercised. You can exercise these rights by contacting us at support@snowflair.com.

We will endeavor to fulfill your requests within reasonable limits but may deny or partially fulfill requests based on legal rights and obligations. For instance, we may keep personal information as the law allows, such as for maintaining records, keeping your account active, processing transactions, and handling customer requests.

COPPA (Children Online Privacy Protection Act)

When it comes to the collection of personal information from children under the age of 13 years old, the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) puts parents in control. The Federal Trade Commission, United States' consumer protection agency, enforces the COPPA Rule, which spells out what operators of websites and online services must do to protect children's privacy and safety online.  We do not specifically market to children under the age of 13 years old.

We reserve the right to modify this Policy at any time, so please review this Policy frequently for any changes. Amendments to this Policy will be posted on the Sites or otherwise noticed to you in accordance with applicable laws, and will be effective when posted. If you continue to use the services, then you have acknowledged that you have read and understood this revised Privacy Policy and the fact that its terms may have changed since your last visit. This Policy was last updated on the date indicated above.  By using our App, you consent to our privacy policy.
